I can't believe my baby girl is already a year old, walking, talking, and on her way to ruling the house. Saturday we were able to have a sweet little party for her with some close friends and family to celebrate with.
Brooke is quite the social butterfly and loved all the attention she was getting.
We kept the food simple since this party was at our house. A good friend of mine made 3 amazing salads for the party and the rest of the menu consisted of fruits, dips, cupcakes and cheesecake bites.
Curt went and got some beautiful pink flowers for his little girl's big day.
Brooke tried to blow out her own candle, and while she had the technique right, she wasn't getting enough force to put it out. Once she got her hands on her cupcake (literally) she wasn't so sure what to do with it. Instead of putting it straight into her mouth like everything else, she just held it. Her grip kept getting tighter around it until the poor frosting was oozing between her fingers. We finally put some in her mouth and after that she couldn't put it down. She also shared some of her cake with those sitting nearby.
We got a lot of nice gifts including some cute outfits and shoes, bath bubbles and toys, a teddy bear, a gloworm, a dolly, and some other fun interactive toys.
We had a lot of great people at her party, including family members and friends old and new.
It was a great birthday for our little one-year old and we're grateful to everyone who was able to come and celebrate with us!
