May was a long month and a good month for us. After school got out we were finally able to relax and have some fun.
Before Curt has his shoulder surgery there were some things we wanted to get done, one of wheich was to clean the bathrooms throughly. Since I don't like scrubbing toilets, I put these two to work.
I run a tight ship!
Curt celebrated his 28th birthday.
We took the munchkins to the lake. Apparently no one likes this jacket. We thought it squished Kempton's cheeks, we couldn't even zip it up on her.
Grandpa took us all out, it was fun, but the water was still chilly so the only one that got in was Curt, and only cause he fell in.
After being here a year and dealing with the nasty, silty dirt that gets on everything and everyone anytime you go out back, we decided to do a little work. Now the kids and dogs have some grass to play in, and I may even try planting a little garden or some flowers in the space around the porch. These two also got sick this month. In the same week, Kempton got pneumonia again (same time exactly last year) and Brooke had an ear infection. So there were a lot of antibiotics between the two of them.
While the weather was still nice we enjoyed a little time outdoors.
And a lot of time in the pool.
And you can't pass up some storefront entertainment!
After a long, hard semester, Curt and I treated ourselves to a quick vacation to sunny California. Our favorite part was a farmer's market in West Hollywood and laying on the beach in Venice. It was nice to have a three day break from the kids, you got to love grandparents willing to take your kids!
