P.S.
{4 Months} & {2 1/2 Years}

Brooke had her 4 month check up yesterday and I'm convinced that her and Kempton are from different gene pools. They look nothing alike, have none of the same features, and are complete opposites when it comes to their body's.
For example:
Brooke 4 months-
weight: 15 lbs 10 oz {83rd percentile}
length: 25 1/4 inches {77th}
Kempton 4 months
weight: 13 lbs 6 oz
length: 23 3/4 inches
(I don't know the exact percentile's for K but I know he was never above the 30th for anything except his head, whereas her tiny head is only in the 32nd.)
p.s. At 4 months K was still wearing size 0-3 comfortably, B is already pushing some 3-6 sizes, she's just so much longer.
While we were at the docs we weighed Kempton to entertain him, and he only weighs 30 lbs. People Brooke weighs half as much as him! Poor thing will be beating him up sooner than we thought.
Anyhow, she's healthy, strong and making us smile. She can roll from her tummy to her back and almost roll from her back to her stomach now.
She can sit up on her own for a bit when propped up, and has this cute raspy voice which can get really loud and squealy when she's excited. She likes to play with toys that rattle, anything she can bat at, she loves to look at herself in her little mirror, and has enjoyed playing in the exersaucer we just pulled out for her.
Please stop growing so fast, mommy would appreciate it.
Kempton is 2 1/2 now, and while not much has changed physically over the last few months, there have been a lot of new accomplishments.
He still loves to golf, enjoys playing catch, likes rough housing and diving off the couch, has taken an interest in skateboards, loves his bike and all (5) of his ride-on toys.
He loves to run and would do it all day and never tire. Likes being a big brother and caring for his sister.
Really enjoys doing puzzles and can put them all back together without a second thought. Loves to read and because of a fun little book from Grandma, has learned his colors. He likes books and some of his recent favorites are Thomas the Train books, a few "Cars" books, and anything having to do with "big" trucks. Loves to watch movies and his favorites lately are Up and Wall-E.
LOVES to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and about knocks himself over when Mickey comes on the screen. He can name off all the characters (my favorite is Goopy), and has a bit of a thing for Minnie. Likes Little Einsteins and it's fun to watch him interact and do all the actions the characters encourage them to do.
K has become a picky eater. His go to lunch is PB&J if nothing else works. He goes to bed some nights not eating but then wakes up and goes to town on breakfast (definitely his favorite meal), and he can put it a way! Loves cheese and is obsessed with "apple juice" although it's OJ he's crazy about right now.
Some of the things he says now and the funny things he does:
To the Dogs
-come arley, up arley (talking to Harley)
-get out, go outside, no tuck (tug, don't know why that's one hard?)
When anyone tries to leave to go to work, home, or to school, especially Curt
-he will block the door with his body, throw his hands up, and with those big brown eyes pleads don't go, no go, wait, no go school daddy no go. So cute and sad.
-always asking, where daddy go?
-when we hear Curt ride up on his motorcycle he about has a heart attack from excitement and runs around screaming "daddy"
With Brooke
-it's ok, no crying
-shh shh, it's ok Brooke
-Brooke's butterfly (toy)
-no Brooke mine (his toys)
-my minnie (he has stolen her stuffed Minnie, he has a crush)
-hi Brooke!
And everything else
-when asked if he's happy, "I no happy" emphasis on the p
-if you try to lecture him about something he's done, "shh, don't talk"
-when he wakes up, "I no more nap, I done napping" (he likes to emphasize the 'ping)
-words that have become understandable: motobike (motorcycle), cracker (tractor), everything bigger than a car is a "big truck", love his response when he wants something "yep"
-if you ask him if he's pooped or stinky, " I no poop, I no stink, I no stinky" and then proceeds to pull the back of everyone else's pants down to check if they're stinky. Even when we know it's him, he tries to pin it on Brooke, "I no stinky, Brooke stinky"
-"oh no, uh oh, ah man, oh crap"
-bless you mana (mama), Oh sorry I sorry, thank you, welcome, I need help, help me, I help you, mease (please)
-he has gotten better at repeating words that we're trying to teach him now and he's soaking things up like a sponge, this is a fun stage as far as the talking goes. It's funny though because every time we tell him a new word or something, he says "yeah" (new word) like he already knew it.
-he has taken an interest in what he's wearing and sometimes doesn't like what we pick out, but loves to put his own pants on now, and his favorite shoe of choice are his boots which he loves pulling on himself.
-when I mentioned he likes to run, he also enjoys running away (literally). He will look you in the eye, wave, blow a kiss, and then bolt down the street to the park without a second glance. He's fast, doesn't listen, and thus spends a lot of time in time out.
-The store is a nightmare if we can't keep him in the cart. The other day he got ahead of Curtiss, and next thing we know, he had scaled the paper towel tower display to the top of the aisle unit in Walmart. Paper towel rolls were tumbling down and people stopped because none of us could believe how quick he got up there. Curt had to climb up after him and chase him across the top of the aisle divider where all the stock is stored. Trouble I tell you!
-He has no fear of consequence, losing his parents, or anything else for that matter. If you have read this far and have suggestions please share.
-He's a funny kid, very dramatic, and likes to over exaggerate. He makes the funniest scowl face when he's trying to be mad at you. When he's trying to see something in the distance (or thru a wall) he puts his hand on his forehead and squints his eyes.
When thinking he cups his chin and taps his finger. When trying to hear the train coming, he cups his ear.
-He's a pretty good help around the house and does a good job of cleaning up "mean up". He likes to cook with us and help dad with any yard work. My favorite is now that we're working out at home he comes in, grabs some 3 lb weights and gets to work on his muscles. He especially likes the yoga poses and the boxing stuff. Kempton's a great kid, and some days we thinks he's smarter than us, definitely faster, and understands more than we think. He's a tough one to get through to at this stubborn age, but he sure is funny, and we love that stinker.
Kempton, you can grow a smidge faster, just so we can get out of the Terrible Twos!

Timing
8 o'clock church bites, especially when you have to get up before everyone else to prep everyone else. But when you get to see this out your window, it doesn't seem so bad!

Rice Cereal
So today was the first day we gave Brooke rice cereal. She did really good, still pushes her tongue out a bit, but got the hang of it towards the end.
