So it's 11 days and counting till baby girl joins the family (no we still can't decide on a name, and we're not just saying that) and Kempton has become quite the clinger. Most days he is great, but lately he's always wanting me to hold or snuggle with him, which is great, except it kills my back, and won't be happening for a few weeks after #2 comes, so that will be great adjustment for him I'm sure.

On top of that, we're pretty sure his back molars are starting to make a break for it, so his sleeping patterns have been crazy. He wakes up around 9 am, won't take a nap unless we happen to be on the road and he falls asleep. He is such a great kid when it comes to his sleep, stick him and bed and he's good. But now we have to lay with him, and there are some nights where he will literally lay there for over an hour and then come out of his room wide awake and wanting to hang out. Through all of this he's perfectly happy, chatty, and silly, but at some point he (we, I) needs to sleep. The last few days Curt and I have been staying up late, cause we can, and K has been right there with us. Lets just say the other night, when 12:30 rolled around, Curt finally had to take him for a drive in the car to knock him out and that was after no more than a 45 minute late nap. I'm hoping we can get him back on his schedule before mine is thrown for loop for both my sanity and Curt's. If anyone has any advice we would love to hear it.
On a happier note, we only have 11 days left and I couldn't be more excited to no longer be pregnant. This one has certainly put a toll on my back and ribs. Kempton never moved much, but this one rolls, punches, kicks, lunges, and flips all the live long day. When she does finally settle down it's so high in my ribs that I swear they are splitting. Sleeping and breathing have become a chore for this reason, and on top of that, the super fun swelling in my legs has begun. There's no feeling out there like the sensation that your foot and toes are going to explode if they expand anymore. But all that aside, the room is ready, clothes are washed, and the bag is almost packed. We go in September 4th bright and early and then we can finally meet this little girl.
